We thoroughly enjoyed our last meeting for 2017 with Dr Annalene Weston, who broached the topic of dento-legal risks in an informative and entertaining manner!
About Annalene:
Dr Annalene Weston graduated from Cardiff in 1999. She completed her VT year and worked in general practice in the UK until emigrating in 2003. Annalene has worked along the Eastern Seaboard practising in both the public and private sectors, and has added a Masters in Health Law from University of Sydney to her dental qualifications. Until recently Annalene was practising in Central Queensland and serving on the local Health Complaints Commision, however she now works as a Dento-Legal Adviser for Dental Protection based in the Brisbane office and practices in a suburban Brisbane dental practice. She is also the mother of two rambunctious little boys.
Pitfalls of Practice: Sometimes in the practice of dentistry, things don’t go to plan. What then, can a practitioner do to protect themselves in the contemporary Australian stark medico-legal landscape? This presentation seeks to address this, and provide some practical advice, based on de-identified cases.
Venue: Otis Dining Hall, Kingston
Time: 6:30pm
