Another great turnout last night (we maxed out the space at On Red Restaurant!) and an outstanding presentation by Elise. We all learned new things as well as revised old ones and it was a highly educational evening accompanied with a beautiful view and excellent food.
Event Information: The primary goals of early treatment in orthodontics are to avoid irreversible damage and reduce the complexity of treatment later. Common problems to intercept can occur in both the primary and permanent dentition, and the timing of orthodontic treatment is often critical to successful management.
This lecture will focus on tips related to the orthodontic diagnosis and management of select dental and skeletal malocclusions with a particular focus on treatment timing for the general practitioner.
About the presenter:
Elise obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Adelaide in 2011. She graduated with First Class Honours as well as the Adelaide University Medal. Upon graduation, Elise spent two years working in private practice in Mount Gambier, South Australia, before moving to Sydney to complete her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics with high distinction. She then went on to receive membership with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, as well as certification with the Australian Orthodontic Board. Elise has recently moved to Canberra in early 2017 to join the team at SuperSmile Orthodontics, located in both Canberra City and Macquarie.
